Care and Maintenance

1) Using warm water and a non-abrasive cloth or towel, gently wipe the surface of your chair once every few weeks to remove surface oils and visible dirt or bird-droppings. At most, a mild dish soap (Dawn) dilluted in warm water should work on problem areas.

2) Turn on chair and using a dry, non-abrasive towel, remove excess moisture, and let chair dry completely for best results.

Best Practices:

  • If leaving furniture unattended for months at a time, carefully move indoors, or cover with waterproof tarp, being careful to gather edges using a bungee cord around the legs of furniture.
  • Check drainage holes regularly for blockage to ensure efficient drainage between cleanings.
  • Resealing kits available for a small fee (to cover shipping) by request. Simply email hello@galanterandjones.com

Warranty

Galanter & Jones offers a three-year limited warranty for residential use and a one-year limited warranty for commercial use of our products, which goes into effect upon the date of product delivery. The warranty applies only to products that have been handled, installed, and maintained in accordance with the guidelines recommended by Galanter & Jones.

Shipping and delivery in contiguous U.S

Orders within the contiguous United States are typically delivered within 1–2 weeks from the shipment date. All deliveries include a 4-hour delivery window that you will schedule with the carrier. Please note, scheduling options are subject to availability by delivery location.

California Delivery:

  • All Seating: $149

  • Tables Only: $99

Delivery Outside California (within the contiguous U.S.):

  • Single Seat Orders (e.g., a single chair): $249

  • Multi-Seat Orders (e.g., multiple chairs or a single lounge): $379

  • Tables Only: $99

Tables can be added to Seat orders at no additional shipping charge.

Local to the Bay Area? All items can be picked up directly from our San Francisco location at no charge. Select this option at checkout.

Where will my furniture be delivered?

Furniture and larger parcels will be delivered over your threshold. For multi-unit buildings, items will be left inside the building entrance, not at your door. Unpacking, assembly, and removal of packaging materials is not included unless specified. You must be present at the time of drop-off.

  • We cannot ship to PO Boxes, APO (Army Post Office), FPO (Fleet Post Office), DPO (Diplomatic Post Office), or freight forwarders.

Caring for your new furniture

Although Galanter & Jones heated outdoor furniture is built for durability and outdoor use, careful handling is still necessary to avoid damage. If leveling feet are included with your order, always use them when placed on the ground to ensure it sits flat. If you must lay the furniture on its side, use a blanket or other soft surface to prevent damage. Do not leave furniture in its packaging outdoors, moisture can accumulate in the packaging and damage the surface. See our care section for additional information. 

Hawaii, Alaska, Canada & International Shipping

We are unable to process international web orders. To inquire about shipping rates outside the contiguous U.S., please contact us directly at 415-937-0336 or info@galanterandjones.com.

Please note that for international shipping, we will assist with the necessary paperwork; however, customers are responsible for all additional paperwork, duties, and taxes required prior to delivery.

Returns & Damages

We offer a generous return policy of up to 30 days from receipt for unused product. To initiate your return simply, contact us directly at info@galanterandjones.com and we will coordinate your return shipping at no additional fee. All items must be returned in original condition and original packaging. Upon arrival at our warehouse, items will be inspected for damages. Customers will receive a refund confirmation via email. Original shipping and delivery fees are non-refundable. Please allow 7-10 business days for refunds to be processed on your credit card statement.

Upon delivery, accepting the shipment from the carrier is acknowledging the piece has been received in new condition. Therefore, it is imperative that you carefully inspect the product immediately. You should inspect the piece for structural cracks and/or chips, which may have occurred due to mishandling during shipping. If an order arrives damaged, please note “Possible Freight Damage” on the delivery receipt, take photos of the damage. Immediately contact us at 415-937-0336 or info@galanterandjones.com so we can arrange for a replacement and start a shipping claim. We will issue a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number and schedule a replacement. Please save all pallets, packing materials and your damaged item for insurance purposes.
